What is rhinoplasty?
Rhinoplasty, also known as nose job, is a surgical procedure that can change the size, shape, and structure of the nose for cosmetic or reconstructive purposes. Nose surgeries are typically performed using one of two general surgical styles: the open rhinoplasty technique or the closed rhinoplasty technique.
Rhinoplasty usually combined with septoplasty. Septoplasty is the surgery performed to correct a deviated septum. A septoplasty surgery is performed to improve breathing, while a rhinoplasty is performed for aesthetic solutions.
Rhinoplasty can also be combined with alarplasty. Alarplasty is the surgery performed to narrow the nostrils (the ala) and reduce nostril flare. Both are performed for aesthetic solutions.
